Life Need Not Be Perfect
A meaningful life can include uncertainty, failure, rest, regret, and beginning again. Your life does not have to be in order to have value.
Life will not always feel productive, peaceful, successful, confident, or clear.
There will be difficult seasons. Mistakes. Struggles with impulses we do not want to follow. Disappointment. Exhaustion. And times when things do not turn out as we hoped.
None of these things mean that your life has lost its value. They are part of being human.
Valuing the life you have now does not mean giving up on growth.
You can work to grow while still noticing the life you have today.
You can solve problems while still making time for the people you love.
You can see a difficult situation for what it is without deciding that your entire life has fallen apart.
Something painful can be real. At the same time, something meaningful can still be real too.
You do not have to pretend that everything is fine.
This imperfect day is still part of a life worth living.
